The desire to love, be loved and finding that special person that not only values your love but cherishes it and gives the same back. I can't say we all share that dream. There are some out there that cherish only material items or that fact of having someone doing things for them.
There are those just satisfied with having someone, anyone and those people settle for whatever seems to be convenient at that time. And when the times change or their needs change so does the person they have in their life. Those are the people that break the hearts of the true dreamers. Unfortunately many times we the dreamers don't always see the signs until it's to late. And then again sometimes it's our own fault because we do see the signs but do not understand that what is important to us is not so important to them. Thus we ignore the signs replacing it with the "hope" they too will open their eyes and learn to appreciate the dream, the pursuit with us.
At that point we then are considered the one with the askew view and called out for living in a fantasy world. Told that Fairy Tale Romance does not exist. We are reminded that you can not change another person. Told you should never have expected someone to change just for you. In rare situations does this ever occur. And as for us Dreamers we sit with our broken hearts wondering how this person that says they love us can be so cruel to our hearts. I guess many times we have asked for it. We allowed ourselves to be naive and trusting by believing the words they said., when all along we knew but chose to ignore the simple fact they never had the same desire.
